Description : A fictional branch line set in the heart of the highlands of Scotland. Built as a light railway from Glenait to Crabenmore in 1875, the railway was extended to the fishing town of Portdornoch in 1887 including a ferry peir at Kilbrachan. Originally, the 13 mile route was run by private 0-4-0s owned by the distilleries on the route untill bought by the Highland Railway in 1903 When in BR hands during the 50s/60s, the main traffic included fish from portdornoch, export from Crabenmore Distillery, as well as the local passenger service. Typical motive power included Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0s, Standart 4MT 2-6-4s, and Stanier 5MT 4-6-0s for the larger goods trains as well as an appearance of pannier 0-6-0PTs made surplus by the closure of the Dornoch branch in 1960. The line closed to passengers in september 1964 and goods a month later. The rails were finally lifted in June of the next year. Version 2 includes improvements to the lineside scenery and erection of a turntable at Glenait as well as fixes to the permanant way by removing broken rails and re-assigning manual and automatic points. Issues with scenarios have also been mended and 4 new scenarios are also included. NOTE: VERSION 3 OF THIS ROUTE HAS BEEN RELEASED AS ANOTHER FILE IN THE LIBRARY - UKTS 29466 - WHICH INCLUDES ASSETS FROM WOODHEAD. THIS IS V2 FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE WOODHEAD EXPANSION.
