Update...

It looks like there is something of a serious problem on the route supplied with the train set. After about 35 minutes of serious hauling (I was flat out all the way) you reach the first crossing loop and you'll suffer major decoupling at this point. This means that it is rather impossible to get the train over without a good number of hours spent shuffling cars back and forth.

At this time we're still awaiting a fix to this section, but the problem has now been spotted by a good number of people on the UKTS Forums so it certainly isn't just my bad driving :)

I'll post more news on this when a patch is released.
